Bond's doesn't have a location in Tysons, McLean, Vienna or Reston. Its escape rooms in Fairfax are the nearest, at 3949 University Drive in Old Town, with nine rooms, two free-roam VR arenas, the live Game Show and free parking. From Tysons it's about 9 miles down I-66.

Here are the drive times from each town on a weekday evening and a Saturday afternoon, the routes that work without a car and the rooms that suit a group coming straight from the office.

How far is Bond's Fairfax from each town?

These are Google Maps' typical-traffic ranges from each starting point to Bond's door, for a Wednesday at 6 p.m. and a Saturday at 2 p.m., checked on October 6, 2026.

Vienna is a quick drive down Route 123. From Tysons or Reston, give yourself 40 minutes on a weekday evening, and 45 from McLean. Arrive a few minutes early so your game master can brief you before the clock starts.

From McLean, though, Bond's Arlington location in Clarendon is closer. It's about 6 miles down Old Dominion Drive, 16 to 28 minutes at both times we checked, and it has six escape rooms but no VR or Game Show.

Parking in Old Town Fairfax

Parking is free. Bond's own building, the Courthouse Professional Center, has 60+ free spaces during operating hours. Old Town Plaza, at 3955 Chain Bridge Road, has room for 100+ cars, also free, and it's a two-minute walk away. Street spaces on University Drive are free for two hours on weekdays and fill up on weekend evenings. The directions page has the full list.

Getting there without a car

To Fairfax by Metro and bus. Take the Orange Line to Vienna/Fairfax-GMU, then the City of Fairfax's CUE bus. Google Maps routed us on the Gold 1 from the station's north bus bays and estimated 18 to 21 minutes from the station to Bond's, including the walk from the stop, which Bond's puts at about five minutes. The buses run less often than the trains, so check the CUE schedule before you go.

From Tysons and Reston, Arlington is the easier ride. The Silver Line runs straight from both to Clarendon with no transfer, and Bond's Arlington is about a five-minute walk from Clarendon station. On a weekday evening, Google Maps had Tysons station to the Arlington door at about 21 minutes, and Reston Town Center station at about 46. Getting to Fairfax from Tysons by transit takes at least one bus, and Google Maps estimated 45 to 60 minutes.

Best rooms for an after-work group

Evening start times vary by day, so check live availability on the booking page before you plan around a 6 or 7 p.m. start. Every game is private, lasts 60 minutes and costs $34 a person.

  • 6 to 10 people: Save the White House III takes up to 10. You're stuck inside a shrunken White House full of stolen monuments, and it's Bond's most popular room for big groups.
  • A team that wants an icebreaker: Survive the Joker's Trap (3-8) starts with everyone chained to a chair, so people are talking to each other from the first minute.
  • A mixed group with some first-timers: The Cure (3-8), set in an abandoned hospital where you race to find a cure.
  • Colleagues who've done a few rooms: The Frightful Feast (3-8), which many players call Bond's hardest, or 2233: Evil A.I. (3-7), its toughest sci-fi room.
  • Just the two of you: Escape From Venus II or Bowl Voyage, which both book on two tickets.

For more than 10, book two rooms with the same start time and compare finishing times afterward. Bond's says going two over a room's listed maximum often works, though it gets tight, so call first.

If you're booking for an office, know that the Fairfax building has no elevator. Joker's Trap, Save the White House, The Frightful Feast, Bowl Voyage and Escape From Venus are up a few small stairs and then on one level. The Cure, 2233, 1960 and Molly's Horror Room are up a two-floor staircase. If stairs are a problem for anyone, Arlington is step-free.

Team outings for Tysons offices

For a planned team event, Bond's runs escape room team building for groups of 6 to 150, starting at $325 a team. The quote depends on your headcount, how many games each person plays and whether you add catering or the conference room.

A big group can split up across the escape rooms, the VR Arena and the Game Show, then rotate. Fairfax has an on-site VIP conference space for a briefing or debrief, and Bond's can arrange pizza and drinks or fuller catering. Alcohol needs 24 hours' notice and Bond's approval.

Add a second game or dinner

To stretch the evening, add a second game. If it's on the same day, it's 20% off, Saturdays included, and the front desk applies the discount when you arrive (the fine print is on the deals page). Bond's suggests pairing an escape room with the VR Arena, which is free-roam VR with no wires. There are two arenas side by side, and it costs $37 a person for about an hour, including gear-up.

The VR Arena is in Fairfax only. Two arenas run at once, for up to 12 players.

For dinner, Old Town is a short walk. Hamrock's Restaurant (3950 Chain Bridge Rd) is about five minutes away on foot. High Side (4009 Chain Bridge Rd), a craft beer bar with Asian street food, is about six minutes, and Fairfax Kabob (10250 Main St) is about eight.
