So, travelers, you wish to journey to the realm of Elddir? As an ambassador of the Bond’arev, I welcome you with open arms and beseech your assistance as my brethren are in a race against the forces of evil. Before you set out on your quest, it is recommended that you be informed of the local inhabitants, as they are likely different from those that exist outside Elddir. We respect the uniqueness of all creatures, and through education hope to evoke the same. Therefore, I have compiled a guide for you of all of Elddir’s wondrous creatures.
Oh, curious about the Bond’arev, are you? Bond’arev is how we elves refer to our race. We are quite a peaceful species, existing in beautifully diverse tribes across the realm of Elddir. I am a member of the Night nomads. My tribe travels across the plains in darkness, guided by Luun. As a counter to our lifestyle is the light-adoring Sun elf sect of the desert. Who likes excessive brightness and heat? Well, to each their own. If cold is more your thing, the Frost tribes of the mountains have you covered. The Frost folk might seem cold at first, but they have warm hearts. Living off the oceans are the Coastal clan. They have evolved over time to become truly aquatic beings, able to breathe underwater for prolonged periods. The final group of our race, the Nature nation, resides in the Gahl-Zaan Forest. Becoming almost treelike themselves, they are in touch with the local flora but are mainly protective of the Sacred Tree, the source of their magical abilities. Unfortunately, the Sacred Tree might not be safe much longer.
Ah, what fascinating specimena! Other races fear the draconic bloodline as being malevolent in their intent. However, I can assure you that when treated with the respect they deserve, dragons are wondrous creatures. Each of these mighty beasts holds domain over a specific element and is revered by the native tribes of Elddir. The Sun tribes praise the radiant Dawnari as she flies across the sky on her daily journey, her warmth felt across the desert. My people of the Night pay our respects to Luun who guides our nightly activities across the plains with his glow. The Frost elves praise the coldblooded Glaicyrus for keeping their mountains always coated in fresh white powder. Ruler of the oceans is Ocearmun, glorified by the Coastal elves for providing them with fresh fish. Not all dragons fly, you know, as Ocearmun is confined to his aquatic domain. The final major dragon is Gæla, guardian of the Gahl-Zaan Forest. Blessing the many species of flora and fauna found within, the Nature nation is thankful for Gæla’s protection. Lately, however, the dragons have been on edge and have been ignoring calls for aid. It is thought their distraction must have to do with humans, but we Bond’arev are unable to confirm our suspicions. The dragons remain peaceful despite these difficult times, but the change in their attitude is concerning.
Speaking of such troublesome creatures is not a pleasant task. The Bond’arev are a race of peace, respecting all races, but the orcs do not seem to understand this concept. Unintelligent as they may be, they are a wartorn race that brings about devastation wherever they go. It is believed that they were created by the Lord of the Underworld, Nyxmortum, as punishment for some crime our elven ancestors committed, but nobody is certain. Such hideous creatures could not have been derived by the Lady of Life, Amoura, right? Impossible! Nevertheless, the orcish race has been constantly problematic for the Bond’arev, destroying our settlements. We are still attempting to reach a peaceful arrangement, but teaching the orcs we mean no harm has met with mixed results.
Those selfish Siltѐ (our word for humans) are at it again. They march towards the Gahl-Zaan Forest to use the Sacred Tree for their own nefarious purposes. What those purposes might be is yet unclear, but without this source of magic, the entire forest and its inhabitants will fall to ruin. The fall of the Nature nation will greatly impact the Bond’arev and all of Elddir as a whole. Protecting the Sacred Tree will take all of the tribes’ help, but we could use all the assistance we can get. As the Siltѐ approach, it is now a race against time. If you are willing to provide us your aid, schedule your room today at bondsescaperoom.com or by calling 703-260-9669. Will you answer our plea, or will you side with those self-centered humans?
